I would love some healthy dinner ideas that are cheap! The company my husband worked for basically went bankrupt and they let everyone know Friday they are all out of jobs. I have tons of redfish and trout in the freezer but I usually just broil it with lemon juice, olive oil and seasonings. I can still go buy other things but that is what I have in the freezer. I've been losing weight and working out but shrimp, crab and fish is mostly what we eat and that isn't cheap (except the fish). I'm willing to try cooking different meats but I'm mostly a seafood eater. We will eat meatless meals also. Please send me your favorite healthy meals that don't cost a lot! Thanks!!!

Hello I made the butterscotch chewie cookies and they came out terrible. they melted into a big puddle. I followed the recipe but the thing I had trouble with and im wondering if this was the problem, the amount of butter. I looked all over the web to find an answere to a 2/3 cup of butter and I found 1 stick and 1/2 a stick. is this too much? thank you Linda

I'm making a recipe I found on Pintrest called Mississippi Roast. I generally stay away from sodium and prepackaged mixes, but this one picked my curiosity.Threw some onions in at the beginning and carrots half way through. Halved the butter. Boy does it smell good! Keeping my fingers crossed it'll taste as good as it smells.

I am throwing down the proverbial glove. I HATE cilantro. it's soap...admit you cilantro lovers ( also admit you cursed a lot as a child.) do you hate a herb, veggie or meat product ( tongue, liver, sweet breads? ) grow one and report back. when it comes to the meat product...select a small critter please so we can get a review this year. gonna run to the cilantro store and buy the crummiest looking plant. be back in awhile.

I also made a double batch of my corn salad. This was hosted by my Dad's cousin at their hunting club house. I thought I lived in the boonies but wow! I asked her what she wanted me to bring. She said Jamie was bringing a ham. Sure several others would pick up chicken & desserts & there would be the usual potato salad. Asked me to bring something vegetable. I'm so grateful to AR friends whose recipes made me look like a rock star. I had folks coming to me so I could bookmark these recipes in their phones!

Hi Nanny! I made your Erlene's Mixed Vegetable Casserole for our family reunion yesterday & everyone loved it! I couldn't find a good blend of frozen mixed veggies here so used peas & carrots, cut green beans & super sweet white corn. Added a bit of salt to the blanching water. Had half a red bell pepper & a small zucchini to dice & add. It was delicious & I loved that I could make it ahead!

Hi Molly! I made your wonderful Lawn Mower Salad for a family reunion yesterday & of course it was a hit! I made a triple batch & divided it to make part your way with the nuts & seeds & part my way with no nuts but add Craisins. DH said he saw folks scraping the bowls to get every last bit!

Many of you have already "heard" I am going to attempt homemade pasta with my new pasta maker. I'm looking for any tips or advice from you. So far I'm going to be going on what my 26 yo son has told me. Yikes! LOL
