littlegirlbigbaker is asking: (3 answers)
Hey everybody…my birthday is coming up. Well, close enough to think about what I want, anyway. I'm thinking some kitchen tools-any suggestions?

Hi, a food processor is very good to have. A stick blender, a rasp, a grater, garlic press, salad spinner. some real good cutting boards, one for meats and another for veggies..

I'd be asking for a good electronic probe thermometer if money isn't a big consideration. I love all manella's suggestions. Oh, parchment paper! Since you are a baker, take a look at King Arthur's online catalogue. They have some nifty gadgets.

A scale to weigh things. Good sharp knives are a really good thing to have also.

This is one of my favorite gadgets as I can peel a bunch of apples in no time…in fact little kids can, if you put it on right. Just look it over and learn to make the little adjustments on it as no apple or potato is perfectly shaped :)

well, if your thing is baking then I would be asking for a KA mixer, silicone scrapers, spatulas, and silicone coated whisks, a silpat, specialty baking pans.

Depending on what it is you enjoy baking/cooking. If it's pies, then pie pans, rolling pin and good mixing bowls, (I got KA mixing bowls 3 pack at Target) If it's cookies, then good cookie sheets, parchment paper, measuring cups/spoons, and wooden spoons. If it's cakes/desserts then springform pans, sheet cake pan, 9" x 13" plus 2 or 3 9" round pans. Also if you want to start decorating cakes, Michael's has everything you need to get started. I love to bake and have slowly added to my arsenal of baking supplies! Happy Birthday!
