Dirty Martini

A vodka martini is sullied with olives and brine from the olive jar. It can be served on the rocks, or strained into a chilled cocktail glass.

Lucky glad you had a great time. I had a headache all day so it was hot dogs and beans. Feeling better today so hubby and I are going to town to get some errands done. Have a great day.

Hahaha, I got your headache then, has nothing to do with the vodka I consumed last night :)) Glad you are feeling better!

Sounds like a great dinner! And, hubs would love a few Dirty Martinis; not me - I prefer the "fancy schmancy" flavored ones. LOL Once again we were at the restaurant so I had Enchiladas Camaron (shrimp enchiladas) and 2 mediano margaritas (medium margaritas). The place was packed for Valentine's Day - it was great to see so many people out having a good time.

We picked up some clam chowder and rolls from a very popular fish restaurant and brought it home to share with a friend last night. Great night!

My boyfriend cooked me dinner for Valentines day...which is a big deal since he basically knows only how to use a microwave. I am so proud of what he accomplished, even if I did eat at 9pm. lol. I had seen this recipe years ago and said I would love to have that one day...and somehow he remembered and conquered it. :) Warning: this is not for the health conscious: http://chefmichaelsmith.com/recipe/potato-bacon-cheddar-tart/#.Uv9g9BBdUxQ

I went to see my daughter at college and I took her out to eat. We drove around looking for any place and scrolling thru on the GSP I was naming restaurants and mentioned Sonic. She emphasized "Sonic?" lol! She did well her first semester and rec'vd an certificate for honors! I'm so proud of her!

Stacy wanted a nice meal at home last night, so we had this shrimp scampi, which was great, along with Basque Salad, fresh baked French bread, superfox's strawberry shooters and raspberry cheesecake. It was a wonderful meal. Any putz can give flowers.

Shortly after the meal, my buddies sent me pictures of beer, implying that they were tossing back a few. I sent them back several of the meal. A single friend that was there sent me a text later that said they were feeling a little inadequate sending flowers and not being at home. :)

Hi LN! Glad you had such a great night. :) DH had to work last night, so hopefully we'll go out early next week. He did buy me 2 dozen roses! I wanted easy and something my son would like, so I made this. I wanted to do something special for DS, so I made some cinnamon rolls to serve with dinner. Now to get DS to finish shoveling all this snow off the driveway!

Two dozen, wow! Bet they smell great! No need for DS to finish the driveway, another inch or so on it's way:)) But when he is done he can do ours!

We had friends over and had heart shaped pizzas. They were just pepperoni, so I doctored one up with cottage cheese, fresh tomatoes, diced onions and diced colored peppers.

We watched my 13 month old niece too. We laughed that it took 4 of us to keep her out of stuff! We understand why you have kids when you are in your 20's and early 30's! Had lots of fun with her.

LOL Molly, yes it takes a village. My house is no longer child proof so it would take many adults to manage a little one around here too.
