I am making white chocolate covered popcorn to give as a gift. I need a cute way to package it up. Any ideas?

You can buy those cute "popcorn" bags, or lil bowls very inexpensively...they LOOK like old fashioned popcorn bags, red and white striped, but they're made of plastic...

Michael's has all kinds of cellophane bags with ties for that kind of stuff. Get a cute roll of ribbon to tie on.

how about something like this with a colored cellophane bag full of popcorn. I would push the bag down into the bowl, fill with your popcorn, and then tie the bag closed.

Lori314 - I would use the fancy cookie tins from the dollar store, and put a doily or something like that (perhaps a loving kind message) in the bottom to make it look extra fancy or seem more special. If it is for children, I might mix in some small toys such as the ones found in Kinder eggs.

They have tins? I use tins to give at Christmas time, but I wasn't thinking there would be seasonal tins for now.

Lori314 - I don't know - they might not be in season - but people give cookies besides at Christmastime - and people from other cultures have celebrations at other times of the year where they might use such tins. In any case, there's always lots of inexpensive wrapping materials and containers at the dollar store, so it is not a wasted trip.

You could look at Hobby Lobby or Michaels, either one, for whatever container fits the person's personality .... and as long as you wrap the popcorn in plastic and seal it, you can use any container, it doesn't have to be marked as "food safe"...

next week is my last week of radiation treatments. I wanted to give it to the radiology techs. They have made a difficult time in my life a little easier. So it will be a group gift.

Lori314 - I do a lot of charitable work, and get a lot of "thank you" gifts, but it is the nice cards and letters that I get from people that I value the most. I suggest that maybe you just put the popcorn in a plain bag, but serve it up with a nice, thoughtful letter telling the technicians how much they helped you. Each of us likes to feel like we are valued and to know that we've actually helped someone! Best of luck to you on your journey! =)

Lori314 - I just remembered something! One time someone gave me some "treats" in a small metal-type pail that they had hand-decorated themselves on the outside. It was really attractive, and I kept it in my living room with a plant in it for years. I'm guessing that you could figure out a way to wrap the popcorn so it wouldn't be touching the pail.

You could use cellophane bags in these, then tie a ribbon over and under to secure them together.
