Kristy is asking: (1 answer)
I'm going to try making an apple pie and don't have unsalted butter. The only way I can buy it is by the pound which I can't afford. Is there some way to use salted butter or another substitute ingredient?

salted butter will be fine. You may wanna cut back a touch on the extra salt, if any, in the recipe, but you shouldn't notice a significant difference. Good luck!! :)

I also agree with keni. My mom never bought unsalted butter, she used margarine or shortening.Such as Crisco.
