I can't wait for Master Chef kids, it starts this Friday. I hope Chef Ramsey isn't as mean to the kids as the adults.

It seems being rude/annoying makes some of these shows popular. I guess I don't see the point of those reality shows where the host seems to go out of their way to be rude and belittle the contestants. Not my idea of entertainment.

I agree I have never seen such a ridiculous show as Jersey Shores. I have never watched the whole show in its entirety but how can these people get rich and famous for acting ridiculous? If I ever acted like that I would be embarrassed to show my face in public yet on national T.V.

Haha, well I always tell my husband that there's a Chef Ramsey in almost every busy restaurant kitchen! I've worked for several, I have had every swear word screamed at me, some in different languages so not too bad, even had pots and pans thrown at me! I could go on and on about some passionate Chef's, it's a very stressful fast paced job and you need people to be on the same page as you at all times! Anyways, I've watched a few Chef Ramsey shows at home with his kids and he's really, really good with them, so I think he'll be just fine :)

Wow Westcoastmom, I hope you ducked in time! Its fascinating how talented those little kids are. I wish mine would have been, she was challenged boiling water for mac and cheese (blue box) I am not kidding one day when she was around 14 she was boiling noodles on the stove and forgot all about it and out the door she went to softball practice and almost burned down the 4 plex we were living in. I was at work and thank god the neighbor had a key to get in my apt.

Haha, I ducked really fast when there was a basket of steak knives flying! That one wasn't directed at me though, lol! Oh my gosh, that's so lucky your neighbour knew something was burning, how scary!! My 11 yr old is in Cooking class in school. His class is 80% boys which is a nice change to see. When I was in school, there was one or two boys in Home Ed. Now called Cooking, sewing and other things are a separate class. I was quite shocked about how much studying they had the first two weeks all about cooking and handling safety! Hopefully I'll be in good hands when he starts cooking more! He can make pancakes, grilled cheese, scrambled eggs, and helps me bake, all supervised though! ;)

I think a lot of the reality shows now on TV play up the personalities of the characters to make it more intersting. We don't care to watch most of them, but apparently a lot of people do. If a TV crew was filming your family on a daily basis, I am sure they would try to encourage disagreements and then edit it to make it look like something it isn't. Some characters on reality shows have big egos that tend to make for more controversial shows.

I think i'm chef ramseyed out! he got a few shows on now and i'm kinda over him. when I saw the trailers for this new one that's coming out, the second I heard the little girl screeching at the top of her lungs (I imagine for her team mate) I thought, oh lord, I don't think I can take an hour of that!!!

Same here LOL. These things run their course and then the premise of the show gets old after awhile.
