I have some cooked wild rice that I would like to use to stuff steaks. I can't seem to find a recipe anywhere online that suits what I am looking for or even something I can tweak. I would like a recipe or an idea with cheese in it. Except for blue, Gorgonzola and feta, bf won't eat those. :( Thanks for any help!

You might have to search for stuffed chicken or pork chop recipes and adapt it for steak. Cooking methods should be the same :)

Whatcha lookin' for, Fox, that you aren't finding? Just the cheese or have you found ones that don't sound good?

Both! Can't find anything that sounds good. It all sounds too "wintry" (which wild rice is...), it's nice out! I want to stuff them and throw them on the grill.

We could certainly create a recipe... what kinda steaks?...you could add spinach, mushrooms, garlic, onion...for cheese, I'd go with something smokey, like Gouda? Add some fresh ground pepper and Worcestershire sauce and you're all set. ;)

New Yorks or rib eyes. That all sounds good Keni, maybe I'm just over thinking it. :s

If you have fresh basil, you could do a rice and pesto stuffed steak on the grill...use some fresh grated Parm instead of Gouda

Create your own, sweets, and get that sucker posted! ;) Seriously, keep it "fresh" and summery with the pesto if you want, or the spinach. Just don't weigh it down with nuts or fruits or heavy herbs like rosemary and you should be fine.

http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/rice-stuffed-flank-steak This one uses the broiler, so it can be easily grilled. Add some provolone or smokey gouda cheese?

I would simulate a cheese steak sandwich and make a cheese steak casserole with rice, using mozzerella cheese. You can flavor the rice with grilled onions and grilled green peppers, and even add tomato sauce like on a cheese steak with pizza sauce. good luck.

Instant wild rice is cooked in chicken broth with shredded chicken, then combined with thickened cream for a quick soup.
