** Peeping Recipes** What is the *Peeping Recipe* endeavor? It's were you *peep* around and find a personal recipe that's in someone's recipe box, make that recipe sometime during the week and come back next Monday and post the recipe link you made inside when I post again and tell us all about it. There are so many hidden treasures and the choice is yours what to make. 'Peep' around and enjoy what you find! or in some cases not but have fun. Let's not wait to find these gems. If you are not sure how to find personal recipes it's easy. Find a member, go to their recipe box and click on the word "Type" twice. That will sort the recipes by type then page thru till you come to 'Personal Recipe'. Not only will you find their recipes (if they posted one) but you may also find those of others. Overtime a personal recipe may have been published (if it's been saved for a long time), search the title in the search bar at the very top of the left side of site to see. Again, you choose what you want to make and we will see you next Monday here when you tell us all about it!

We are back home from vacation. Landed yesterday and so happy to see my kitchen again! Here is a unique cookie recipe made with grits that I recently tried and loved. The grits added a grainier crunchier texture that I found pleasant but the cookie was still light. http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62755361/southern-lemon-shortbread/detail.aspx

I had good intentions, even bought ingredients to make a couple new recipes, just lost my cooking groove.

Morning! I made 2 recipes this week and both were hits! First up was this gem from Semigourmet, that was absolutely beyond delicious: http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62484102/orzo-with-caramelized-mushrooms-wilted-spinach/detail.aspx?prop31=1

The second was Saveur's salad. We LOVED the flavors in this! Make the dressing a couple of days ahead to allow the flavors to blend: http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62456428/ybor-city-salad/detail.aspx

[Semigourmet, who is now "MissMary." I wondered about that earlier in the week, when I noticed, what I thought was her avatar, with another user name - so I just pulled up the recipe, and she did change her name . . . ]

I mentioned this on the day I made it because I was afraid I would forget the peeping post. It is Baking Nana's recipe and delicious! I made as is with the exception that I skipped making the honey mustard sauce because none of us like honey mustard.

Don's recipe for Lebanese chicken is not new to us because I have made it 6 times now and we love it. This week was busy so I threw the chicken in the crockpot. I was a little scared but it worked out great.

http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62381062/signature-caesar-dressing/detail.aspx ...I made this recently and did not review it. It was great for us but I have no desire to try anchovy paste, period. I added a little extra worcestershire, salt and dijon because I think it was missing something without the paste. Soooo, I think it would be great as written, but I really enjoyed the tweaked version and will keep making it.

We had some fun with this recipe. We divided up the creamer and used different extracts - one was vanilla, another coconut and the third one was cinnamon All were quite good, easy to prepare and nice to be able to do when you run out of your favorite brand.

These are in process. Made a half batch because the recipe makes so many. Made the first part yesterday to chill in fridge. They are for my cousin's birthday (he is in his 70's and has cancer). He loves Bailey's. Hope they come out yummy. I don't drink or like the taste of alcohol. But look mighty tasty for those that do. http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/62629190/baileys-balls/detail.aspx?prop31=1

these are delicious but rich. I still have some "naked" ones in the freezer.

Lindsay, thank you for making my recipe! I hope your cousin enjoys them. My husband just said last night he was craving Baileys Balls, I think I may make a 1/4 batch this week. The longer they sit the more they mature therefore less alcohol taste.

I made stain remover, Suzey's recipe. Tried on DH's socks, not bad on old stains. I'll have another stained shirt from DH this week to try this on new stains! http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/63161588/homemade-stain-remover-by-suzey-on-the-buzz-on-september-6-2011/detail.aspx
