Tangy Apricot Glazed Ham

Submitted by: Cook's® Ham
This easy recipe, courtesy of Cook's Ham, is a great way to spice up the usual ham dinner. Horseradish and chili sauce are mellowed slightly by apricot preserves before being basted onto the ham in its final roasting time.

I think I'm going to give this a try tonight but am not sure what to have with it. I have a stack of untried side dishes printed off but nothing's jumping out at me as a perfect fit to the ham.

When I think of ham, I think of scalloped potatoes or that broccoli rice casserole.

This is the broccoli rice casserole, if you're interested. I use cream of mushroon instead of the cream of chicken (don't like it): http://allrecipes.com/recipe/broccoli-rice-casserole-2/detail.aspx

Thanks, Christina! Do you think I could use velveeta in place of the Cheez Wiz?

I don't see why not! Maybe melt it w/ a bit of milk first, just to make sure it melts evenly throughout the rice.

Thanks! I may try that. Hubby just mentioned cheesy potatoes, so we'll see :)

I came up with the glaze for this ham using ingredients on hand and it's the best I've ever tasted. This ham is very nice served with scalloped potatoes, creamed peas and biscuits.

Oh shoot. Maybe this is the one I'll try. I made a ham a few months ago but must not have put the recipe I used in my rb....unless it WAS this one, nor reviewed it. It was really good, too. Shoot.
