Hi I had the best short cut Caesar Salad Dressing recipe using "Mayonnaise" (not Miracle Whip) instead of a coddled egg.. Well a caregiver for my daughter stole it.. I know sickening .. Does anyone have and idea of the recipe? I had ripped it out of a magazine or Inquirer over 20 yrs ago now.. It had mayonnaise 3/4 to one cup? , Lemon juice or I used Red Wine Vinegar-maybe 3 TBSP? , Anchovy paste, I think sour cream??(could be totally wrong on that one) a little milk 1/4 - 1/3 C.. parmesan cheese 1/3 C added to it to thicken That powdered mustard small rectangular shaped tin with a yellow and red label.. maybe Worcestershire Sauce 1/2 Tsp?? I think that was it??? Thanks for any help !!!! I remember making it once without the anchovy paste as I was out of it but it was awful. Dena

The garlic croutons that top this classic salad are wonderful, as is the anchovy-infused, very creamy dressing.

This is a classic creamy Caesar salad dressing that's perfect for a salad or for dipping vegetables. To serve, toss with chopped romaine in a salad bowl and shave Parmesan cheese on top of salad; season with salt, black pepper, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
