Question: Piggy backing on Volleyball Mom's question this morning about cleaning out recipe boxes. Is it weird that I save the ones I hate so I don't make them again by accident. I feel like it helps me keep a record of what was not good to me. Sometimes if I really disliked it, and it's a personal recipe by a regular buzzer (which only happened once or twice), I make a personal note instead of leaving a negative review. Anyone else hoard bad ones for this reason?

Sorry to post and run... tired... but with my sleep problems, I should be back in a few hours to see if anyone had any thoughts to share.

Hi; yes I have a couple that I have kept. Planing on doing them again but with the changes I had made note of. In hope of making a better dish.

Hi Lindsay! Yes, I also keep the one's I didn't like so I don't make them again. But I often save a recipe that I forgot about and when I find it, I think "what was I thinking when I saved this!" I don't think I could ever leave a bad review if it was someone I knew. I would feel too bad. I feel bad enough when I leave one for someone I don't know! Hope you sleep well tonight and don't see this until the morning.

I usually like what I make because I don't travel far out of the ingredients i like. Two recipes I didn't care for - felt bad for rating 3 star...most get 4 or 5....

Different strokes for different folks. I would not use up computer memory in retaining something I never wanted to reuse. Some happy day when I am retired and/or have nothing better to do, I might write myself a stack of "lessons learned" about "what NOT to do". But someday, I will drop over dead, and I would hate to leave a whacking big pile of recipes I would not inflict on anyone on my computer. Maybe that's just "me"...I recognise myself as imperfect...

I keep all the ones I have made in my recipe box because I found I remade several that I wasn't crazy for later. I can't keep track of them otherwise.

Good morning! Good to know I'm not alone. VBM- ya, I just feel bad about writing anything negative on a recipe of someone I "know". I will on occasion review a recipe negatively if I had a strong reaction to it being unpleasant - but only if I don't "know" them and only if I had a STRONG reaction to it. I guess we are all a bunch of NICEES! :)
