k, super rooky at canning..like has never done it! my question is I did the best most freshest salsa from this site lastnite..made tons..now I need to know how long does canned fresh salsa last for? or if I should keep it refrigerated? sorry, this must sound dumb to a lot of you..newby!

Hey, Heidi - did you go thru the whole canning process - or just made a lot? I would freeze it if I were you. (I don't can either)

If you have a pc -to copy and paste -hold down the control key and the letter c. Use your mouse to highlight the website above ^^^ Then go up to the top bar with the http. and highlight that box while pressing control v and it should paste in the box. If not. Google how to copy and paste to help you.

You need to sterilize the canning jars and lids. ( In a boiling water bath or dishwasher) Put the salsa in the jars about an inch to the top, place the seal lid on( make sure the rims are clean of drips) and screw the ring top on, place jars in a boiling water bath for 15 mins, remove jars with tongs and let sit at room temp until all the jars pop. They can last in the pantry for up to a year.

wow !! THANKS!! the recipe was the THE BEST FRESHEST SALSA..from this site..its a cold one..so no cooking required..im about to make a big batch an try an can em, while I have access to all these tomatoes..thanks fer all the advice!!
