I am up to my eyeballs in fresh tart cherries. I've got cherry pie, cobbler and sauce covered. The fantastic recipe inside is in the oven. Does anyone have any great recipes to use up some of these cherries? Thanks.

Beef short ribs are braised to luscious tenderness during a long, slow cooking in flavorful liquids, like this cherry- and balsamic-vinegar sauce enriched with fennel. A cast iron Dutch oven or heavy enameled pot will be perfect to cook this gourmet dish.

A sweet bread with chopped plums and a brown sugar topping is a delicious way to celebrate plum season.

A simple light and sweet salad with goat cheese, dried cherries and walnuts. This dish reminds me of being on the beach.

I love walnuts and goat cheese. Maybe I can try to candy and dry some cherries for salads and snacks. Good idea. Thanks.

I made this with cherries and peaches yesterday - it was really good. I didn't add the butter to the top of the fruit though. I need to re-write this or add a note. I have stopped doing that. Adjust the sugar according the sweetness of the fruit.

A simple mix-and-bake cake is topped with lots of sweetened tart cherries for an easy dessert that's ready in less than an hour. It's great served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Make the most of the brief, sweet season for tart cherries with this fresh and icy cherry sorbet that doesn't need an ice cream freezer. Dry white wine adds to the sophisticated flavor.

I would make and eat this till I exploded. I did tweak swapping salt and wine for vodka. I'm craving this BIG time.
