This is an easy cream cheese spread to make, and it tastes just like the jalapeno poppers you wish you could make yourself! The hardest part of this recipe is not eating it all by yourself!

Does this spread keep well with low maintenance, like I mean an entire evening or do I have to keep reheating it? Any tips or answers from people who have made this or something similar is appreciated. Also, crackers or bread to dip/spread? :)

I have a little 1 1/2 quart crock pot that I use for just this type of thing. If you are making a larger amount I would use a larger crock pot. I have found that when spread/dips like this cool down, the consistency changes due to the cheese. I also use tortillas/toasted bread rounds with.

Yea I was worried about it hardening and all that...right now I live in limbo in my mom's house because I went back to school so my beloved crock pot is in storage. :( Some cheese dips can be reheated a couple times and if it's a good enough dip it should be all gone by then! hehe...just feeling out what others have experienced/done with it.

I've made it and just microwaved it later. In fact I microwaved it the first time through :) Still great!

What's for dinner, mom?

I made this yesterday for a BBQ and used a warming tray. I doubled the recipe. I left a serving spoon in the dip to keep everyone from just dipping their chips into it. (I don't mind the dipping with just my family but for a large crowd I couldn't get past an "ewe" factor) I kept the lid on and the surface stayed moist and didn't dry out as it was a very windy day here.

Chicken Wing Dip

This spicy baked dip tastes just like hot chicken wings, but without the mess. It is very addicting, and is perfect for football and tailgating season. Serve with tortilla chips. I take this whenever I have to bring a dish and am always asked for the recipe.

I have had this at party that someone else made and it was served out of a crockpot.

Think of this as chafing-dish pizza without the dough! Five minutes in the microwave and you've got an appetizer on the table.

I know you probably weren't looking for another recipe, but this one is off the hook! I mix it all together, but for a nicer presentation you can layer it like recipe says. Microwave this one too.
