This is one of my stepmother's recipes. Tastes good topped with grated sharp cheddar cheese. Any leftovers will taste even better the next day.

My mom used to make these with just hot dogs and pork and beans. My husband's family used ranch style beans and hot dogs.

May sound a little wierd but my kids ate this over macaroni. You could mix together and make a casserole. That should go further.

Hot Dog Casserole

Sliced hot dogs are baked with canned green beans and stewed tomatoes, then topped with mozzarella cheese and broiled until bubbling. Try it on your picky kids.

The secret to a great 'Sloppy Joe' is a thick, rich, almost dry consistency, which allows it to be eaten two-fisted, sans fork.

Dried beans are inexpensive, filling and you don't need meat to season them. I made a pot of pintos and seasoned them with these seasonings to taste. It was delicious!(no meat!)

Paula, you have a very giving heart. However, I'd be very cautious of this man ~~ sounds to me like he's only a taker (IOW, leech. Gives me chills just thinking about it). It's so good of you to think of the children.

Even if you don't like spinach, you will love this creamy rice dish. Add more or less jalapeno peppers to your liking.
