deana is asking: (2 answers)
I have on hand all purpose flour can I add other ingredients so it will self rise? The recipe calls for 3 cups of flour..I noticed in the comment section that a gal had said she used all purpose flour and added 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp baking powder I had heard you can do this I am not sure that those are the correct measurements. Thank you so much, Deana

Recipes that require a leavening agent will typically call it out as a recipe ingredient when they specify AP flour. I am not sure if you trying to sub or exactly which recipe you are referring to.

I'm sure it depends on what you're making, but I have a bread recipe that uses 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. salt, and 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder.
