Hi Y'all! I need some help, I was making some chocolate chip muffins and accidentally added 1/4 cup too much AP flour. I haven't mixed it with the wet ingredients, however I have already stir the flour, sugar, baking soda/powder etc together. Should I just pull out the 1/4 cup now? Or add more wet ingreds? Help!!! This is the recipe 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2/3 cup granulated sugar 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 large egg 1 cup sour cream 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Ok, here's my 2 cents, right or wrong. Take a 1/4 cup out of your dry ingredients. Sprinkle into the dry you are using...a little baking soda and powder (if used) in case a few grains were in the removed part and then forget about it. Bet u don't even notice.

Doubt it will make that much difference. Eggs are never an exact size in any recipe. If it seems a bit dry add a bit more of the sour craem.

I actually always add an additional 1/4 cup flour than what my chocolate cookie receipe calls for. It seems to make my cookies more plumper and softer. Personally, I would just leave it as is and I'm sure they will come out fine.
