Calling all cake decorators.. was wondering if anyone has used luster dust or pearl dust on white chocolate candies? I want to make lite pink/coral seashells with a shimmer and was wondering if I should make the shells white and add colored dust or color the shells? Have never used this stuff before, please fill me in on the pro and cons of each. Headed out for the day but will check back later. Thanks all

You can brush the powder onto the dried shells. Coloring chocolate, in case you don't know, takes special oil-based coloring to keep the chocolate from seizing up. Unless you have the candy coloring, don't attempt that.

I thought maybe for coloring i could just buy some peachy/ pink melting chocolates and mix with the white? Has anyone tried this? and what are some recommendations for the the colored chocolates with an ivory luster dust versus the white chocolates and a coral dust? Im looking for classy and tasteful. I have never used them, so wondering the differences in pearl dust vs. luster dust?
