ok, I checked it out, yes at 12am, and Williamsville, NY is a part of Buffalo it looks like. Buffalo is not far from here (about an hour). When will you be arriving and departing? Let me look into your need for "clear gel" was it and see if I can find it here.

Ok, checked Niblack Foods and their online store has 1 pound for $6.75. I can call them in the morning and see if they have it at their retail store.

the restaurant supply store is a good option too, I will Google around our hotel and see if there is one near by, if not my SIL is coming for a visit from Texas, I can order online and have it sent to her. I have a Walmart, Wegmans and Target all within 5 minutes as well.

I found a restaurant supply store right around the corner from the hockey store I am going to, will call this morning and see if they have it.

Me again... Just called the store near here and they have it... it's $6.75 for 1 pound or $18.50 for 5 pounds. She says it is about 2 cups per pound. Did you find it near where you will be? I would be willing to pick it up for you and bring it to you this weekend.

Hi Lindasy! just got back, yes they have it, they call it Dura Jel but it is the same thing from their website description. I also learned you can use the instant Clear Jel to stabilize whipped cream so I don't need to buy Whip It anymore if I buy a bag of each. Thank you so much for all your help, you are a very sweet person :)

4taals- so sorry I didn't get back on her earlier. I've had the most insane day. It sounds as if you got what you need. Right? I'm so glad I was able to help... Have a great trip this weekend!

Lindsay, how did your chicken go the other night? So nice of you to help 4taals.

Hi volleyballmom- I tried the method you suggested for my chicken. I found it needed a little longer in the oven to come to the safe temp. It seems like this is a good method that I may use more of. (I think perhaps it was because the chicken was quite thick). As for the chicken recipe itself, not so good... extremely bland and we all found something in the fridge to dip it in. (me honey mustard, grandma- honey, kid- ketchup, of course). Lol.
