Good morning everyone! My mom is coming to town this weekend to celebrate a late Mother's Day, I'd like to take her on a picnic. I was thinking of making a chicken salad but I'm stumped on what else I should bring. Please help! TIA

Serve your Caprese salad on toothpicks for a fun, easy appetizer. It takes just a few minutes to thread mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves onto the picks and drizzle with olive oil.

I was thinking fruit but thought it would take up a lot of room in my basket. What a clever idea the skewers are! Thank you for the suggestion!!

These brownies have been a favorite in my family since I was a small child. Because they're so popular, I usually double the recipe. Great with chocolate frosting!

A wonderful cold savory soup made with tomatoes, cucumber, green and red bell peppers, and seasonings won't heat up the kitchen on those hot summer days. Garnish with fresh parsley, chives, dollops of sour cream, and toast.

Saltine crackers soak in spices overnight, including plenty of hot red chili flakes, until they are mighty hot. Serve with chili.

Deviled eggs made with spicy hot mustard have a sweet and hot kick. A cut stuffed olive on top adds to the presentation.
