Sunflower is asking: (1 answer)
Just installed the adblocker to stop the pop up over the photos of the recipes as previously suggested. Didn't work! So Guess I will try to uninstall. So frustrating!

Sunflower, not sure if you saw that Allrecipes Elizabeth responded to your earlier post. She said she was going to have her team look into this as they don't want ads covering photos.

Sunflower, what blocker did you use? Did you open a new browser? try restarting computer?
What's for dinner, mom?

You should also try updating your internet router. I had a similar issue a ways back - AR did what they could on their end but nothing helped. No malware programs worked either. Offensive ads went away (with other issues) after we updated the router. Contact your IP if you need help.

I don't use internet explorer at all and it got rid of this problem for the most part. I would download Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and use that as your default browser.

Is it possible that your work place has restrictions on downloads what will/won't work regarding the internet?

Mi, No, I didn't see Elizabeth's response. Pamela, don't know about the work restrictoins, but don't think that is the problem. Glad to hear AR is working on this. I don't have trouble with the "ads" on other sites. I don't like Mozilla and cannot use something other than IE. However, Thanks to everyone for all of your responses. And yes, I restarted my computer after adding the blocker site.

Sorry it didn't work. I had to give up on IE - it wouldn't work with a couple of applications that I use at work. I switched to Firefox, but I do have to upgrade it every so often. Hope you can get it worked out!

I use IE and found there is an adblocker feature already part of the standard software, but you just have to activate it. ALL of the annoying ads are now gone when I surf internet sites. You do NOT have to pay for adblocker software if you have great !!!!!
