I am cooking mussels tonight in a white wine and crushed tomatoes broth...question - I want to add raw shrimp...do you think they will cook at the same time, or should I pre-cook the shrimp and just add at the end...or will they all be fine cooking in the broth together in a timely fashion? :)

Hi; above is a recipe that you can gage for cooking. The shrimp will not take as long as the mussels to cook so I would suggest that you start with the mussels first and then after a couple of minutes add the shrimp. Hope this helps you.

I usually add shrimp then put the lid on and remove from heat allowing the residual heat to cook the shrimp. Mostly depends on the size of the shrimp.

I suggest you to put your shrimps at the same time. They also cook very fast.

Both should take about 5 minutes to cook.
