Moved to Arizona 2 months ago, 100% today and not even the hot season yet. Already getting tired of sandwiches and salads. Looking for new ideas.

Hello BBpuppy, if you post again using "request a recipe", we could send you some recipe ideas. :) Making some meals in the crock pot would work well, wouldn't heat up the house.

I live in Texas so I can sympathize about the heat. A lot of time I will take a day and BBQ several different meats at once. Then I can heat them in the microwave for meals during the week. I also grill veggies to have on hand for the sides.

Hi; on hot days I would take my electric fry pan outside and cook a meal. I have even roasted a small roast by putting a trivet in the bottom, roast on top add about 1 inch of water. Put the lid on and roast at 350 for about one hour. Even did veggies around it.

Hi again; I also would wrap veggies in foil and put them on the BBQ.

My sympathy to you. We lived in Chandler, Az for 13 years. I felt like a prisoner in my own home. Who wanted to go out in that horrible heat? You could stay in the house, but then there were the scorpions. Fortunately we were able to move to San Diego where the weather is wonderful, great restaurants, not to mention the beaches.

Corn chips and salsa, or going crazy from thee with guacamole, ground beef and such, all of which are sort of "native" to the area. I have no "mercy" might gt to 60 degrees here on the weekend, and I was driving through snow on Wednesday Enjoy the Blessings you are given.
