Just make sure to pound the beef thin then cut the strips to your liking, about 1/2" or less in width.

Hmmm, doesn't read right, sorry. When you pound the meat cut the strips about 1/4", strips can be 1/2" or less wide. You want it to be about 1/4" thick. Hope that makes sense.

If you are using round steak , I would pound it w/ a mallet a little , and then cut into thin strips . If you think the strips are too long , just halve crosswise . Round steak is kinda tough , so by pounding a little it will help tenderize it , and also help it cook faster , so as not to over cook . Hope this helps .
