I recently passed along a link to a heck of a deal on a digital thermometer - $9.95 - no shipping etc.. Anyone that ordered one, did you receive it and were you charged $9.95 for the thermometer.

An eye-of-round beef roast is slowly cooked to tender perfection for meat that slices perfectly for dinner or roast beef sandwiches.

I have heard from some that they received the product as promised and others that were sent additional products and charged for them. This was offered not by allrecipes but by a company that AllRecipes endorses. If you have had a problem, I am sincerely sorry - I assumed that this was a reputable company. It maybe one mistake, with one customer but please check your bills.

Hi Penny! I ordered mine and received it this past Tuesday. I was very impressed with the careful packaging and use instructions. I was charged $9.95 and NO shipping or tax charges. Thank you so much for the keen tip. I haven't used it yet but will within the next week when I make Brian's slow roasted beef. See you Saturday!

See you Saturday, Cathy! Can't wait! I don't know what went wrong on some orders but I am glad to hear that you got yours and all is good! Whew...

Didn't order one. However, if someone did and got charged more or sent other items they didn't order they should certainly let AR know that a company their endorse isn't reputable. Reputable companies don't try to charge for additional items you didn't order.

I absolutely agree Goodfood - which is why I am posting here. It bothers me a LOT to know that a product or service that I recommended did not meet that expectation for EVERYONE that ordered it. It seems that many received the product as stated - but to think that others did not bothers my to no end!

BTW - the company that offered these is not AllRecipes - seems that many received the product as promised. Others received and were charged to additional products. I am not sure what we can do about that, collectively - but I thought I would put it there so everyone that did order checks their charges.

If you pay with a credit card, you can usually call the card company and dispute the charges. They have a lot of clout and can be very helpful if some misleading or disceptive practice was used by the company you placed the order with.

Here is the deal - they want YOU to pay return postage for these items - I don't know how many people this happened to - but the is just not fair!

I ordered it and was charged $9.95 with no taxes or S/H. I checked my credit card just now to make sure. I think I'm going to test mine out tomorrow on the Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style.

The way I read it, they were automatically going to sign you up for some 90 day trial (can't remember for what, lol). Did anyone else see that?

Paula, I am glad you got yours safe and sound. SD - I don't remember seeing that but I didn't order one as I already have two.

Good to read the fine print with anything you order. IF you think their offer was misleading/deceptive I would let AR know aince you said they 'endorse' them.

Baking Nana - After I placed my order online and before it was totally finished, it took me to another page asking about another offer. It did this over and over. I almost got tired of it and quit the entire thing, but then it went to the final page and was over. I suppose there is a possibility that someone clicked that they wanted those other offers and that is why they were sent extra items. That part was extremely annoying!
