so i wrote on here this mornin about tryin a new recipe or a concoted one..the philly cheesesteak dip.. it turned out beautifully but theres no need to do it in a slowcooker..i ended up startin it in one, everything melted..cheeses stuck to sides ( i did pam them ) so i switched em over to throw away containers an at a later time take em outta the freezer an bake em..but the flavors turned out beautifully! i used jalepeno havarti cheese, light cream cheese, grn bell pepper, half a med red onion, pkg of oxo beef powder, 1 lb of deli roast beef an 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup - no water, an 2 tbsp of minced garlic, pepper to taste, oh and about 7 lil button mushrooms..use melba toast rounds fer dipping..anyways, thats my update from earlier! thanks fer the suggestions an comments!

That sounds good, glad it worked out for you. Will you be adding it here as a personal recipe? You should submit this! Question on the "pkg of oxo beef powder". My guess is a dry beef gravy package (we would just add water for gravy). Or perhaps beef bouillon granules?

beef bouillon granules..i dont know how to add as recipe on fer now itll be right here..haha!

Suggestion for recipe title, Heidi's Spin On Philly. I really like the Melba toast rounds, DH not so much. But if it freezes in little containers I can make my own portions. Think it would work with a cracker or thin bread slices?

it tastes great with crackers! baguettes even! not sure with chips, that might just be weird..haha..i like yer name fer it! my first concoted thing, well not really..but first one ive shared with anyone anyways..ive put em all in lil throw away containers..some fer when its just me or if im havin a party - which happens quite a excited to see what people think!

ya know what would taste tastey too? spooonin the cold mixture onto french bread that has been buttered an garlic powdered on the inside an bake the sandwiches with butter an a lil oregeno or italian seasonin on the outside..maybe thats what i'll do tonite..
