good morgan! i wanted to ask yer guys opinion of a recipe i wanted to try and concoct an see if you think it would work..in a slow cooker gonna try an make a philly cheesesteak dip a spin off the one on here.. 1 lb of deli roastbeef sliced up small 1 grn bell pepper diced finely 1 purple med sized onion diced finely 2 tbsp of minced garlic 1 block of fat free cream cheese 2 1/2 c of double cheddar cheese 1 can of cream of mushroom soup maybe a handful of chopped up mushrooms in a slowcooker on low fer 5-6 hrs serve with toasted baguettes or on toasted buns id appreciate yer feedback if this might work. i'd call it phillys momma melts to my friends an family..

That sounds scrumptious! Tried a very similar one only with chicken breasts a couple of weeks ago. The recipe did not call for cheese until the end. At that point you were to pull your chicken out and shred it. Then mix it back in the crock with the onions and peppers. Then spread it on rolls and sprinkle with cheese and toast in oven until the cheese melts. Not sure if the cheddar would hold up that long in the crock? Glad you posted. The chicken version came out a tad bland and as I read your recipe a light bulb went on & I realized that worcteshire sauce would give the chicken more flavor. You probably won't have that problem with good roast beef. Oh! or some Pickappepa sauce!

thank you fer yer response! maybe i should try jalepeno havarti cheese instead? i thought provolone but cant find anywhere except pre sliced..oober expensive! thats why i thought cheddar cause i have it..hmmmm..wheels are turning..

of course with pepper to taste..was also thinking maybe a pkg of beef oxo powder to enhance flavor..i dont usually add salt to anything or butter especially when i use the oxo cubes anyways..
