Prayers to those in Boston. If you haven't heard the news at Boston Marathon, you may want to turn your news on.

It is just so sad that disturbed people can do so much damage.

We've had disaster all day in our news market. Breaking news this am with a Police chase of a murder suspect. Appears a man shot and killed his 6 months pregnant wife. Went from that to the Boston story. Have not stopped shaking my head all day. Sickening.

our kids are on edge already....we live in a very rural community - school is literally surrounded by corn fields. High speed chase from a nearby community ended with a car wrecked in school yard Friday. Thankfully sup't put school on lock down immediately and all involved were apprehended. Still too much bad news !!

If I didn't get up so late we might have gone down there. Would have been as near the finish line as we could get. Thank God for my laziness today. 2 dead, 23 injured. For what? It's just so sad and so senseless.

Bill hasn't run the Boston Marathon for several years now - injuries. Had he been running, I would have been very close to where the bomb went off. We are absolutely heartbroken. I'm in tears and I don't cry easily. Hugs to everyone. Thanks for thinking of me Mi.

Very true. Every time something horrific happens, and you wonder how there can be people so cruel and unkind, there are always those who restore your faith in others. When you watch the news, you’ll see the bombs go off, then see people running into the fray to help. True heroes, each and every one.

Inspiring: runners who reportedly finished the 26 miles and then ran over to Mass General Hospital to donate blood.

Yeah. It is truly amazing how tragedy such as this can bring out the best in people.
