HappyGrandma is looking for: (1 recommendation)
To Shearone & others - I just read my post from last night & am worried that I sounded mad. I was shocked &/or surprised but not in a way that upset me. Just that I didn't understand. I'm not on Pinterest so tend to skip or skim posts about that. I thought Pinterest was all pictures so thought talk here was of posting pics of things made. I've went to pinterest.com a couple of times & have seen some beautiful pictures with a few comments & thought this was all it was. I said I thought I was just posting a recipe here & didn't know it would be taken elsewhere. True enough. I thought I was just posting here & didn't expect much notice. And I didn't expect it to go elsewhere. And certainly not within a couple of hours. I was shocked & surprised that anyone thought it worth sharing elsewhere. And didn't know this was done. So not upset but confused. And I felt tickled but wasn't sure if I should be since I wasn't sure what it meant. Should have explained myself last night but it was so late for me. Should have explained today but had a house full then a late day at a street party. I so hope I didn't upset or offend you. Not my intent at all.

I think what you did/said was fine. I don't use pinterest either, looked at it a few times but don't see the point. If I want to discuss food/cooking, I prefer a website like AR (there are also others I use) where you can talk specificially with people that have that same interest and it is focused around food. New websites come and go and are all the rage for a few months.....until something newer comes along.....LOL, then they become yesterday's news. I agree that if you are still working on a recipe, best to keep it private until you are ready to share with others.

HotGrandma, I didn't see the post but you explained it well here. I, too, didn't "get" Pinterest for a long time but finally spent some time with it and have found some wonderful recipes, great tips and cool products. There are a lot of peeps that "follow" each other's Pins and it's nice because we are all looking for many of the same kinds of things. Your recipe being "pinned" is definitely a compliment! :)

Don't feel bad HG, pinterest can be very confusing. Pinterest in my opinion can be a double edge sword. On one side it's great for viewing wonderful pictures and being able save items to use later or post your items, but on the other side I have found many times when l like a recipe and then try to follow the link back to actually see the recipe the link is not there. That's why I love this site, you know what your are looking for can be found. I just love when I'm on Pinterest and see a recipe from someone I recognize from AR.

Good afternoon HotGrandma - just saw your post from last night. I went back to the original post and read your comments. Your comments and reaction didn't offend me. I utilize Pinterest and in particular, the AR Personal Recipes to Try Board as a cross reference. We have a vast number of great cooks that have wonderful personal recipes (many of which have been waiting for a period of time for AR's kitchen approval). I felt your recipe was worthy of being "pinned" and I can't wait to try your recipe with our homegrown strawberries. Again, thanks for publicly sharing your recipe and I hope it will be Kitchen Approved by AR very soon. Oh, when I make The Girls' Chicken Sandwiches, I'll try to take and post a picture. Have a great Sunday!
