Help!!! I am making these and just realized I am short one egg. No time to run out. Anything I can substitute to save the recipe?

Baked Doughnuts

These aren't like deep-fried doughnuts, but they are a yummy breakfast treat! Shape them however you like - by any other shape, they'll taste as sweet!

I have added mayo to recipes when short one egg. Was a little crumbly but okay.

Anything else? Yogurt maybe?

From AR's subs list, you might have a couple items from this list....."2 1/2 tablespoons of powdered egg substitute plus 2 1/2 tablespoons water OR 1/4 cup liquid egg substitute OR 1/4 cup silken tofu pureed OR 3 tablespoons mayonnaise OR half a banana mashed with 1/2 teaspoon baking powder OR 1 tablespoon powdered flax seed soaked in 3 tablespoons water"

Thank you, Lobster! I have the banana and baking powder, so I will try that.

Good save Lobster! I think a bit of banana in a donut would kick up the taste really well, as a side benefit!

Jacolyn, please tell us how you made out. I've saved the recipe and may give it a try over the weekend :)

Yummy Garlic Croutons

You may forget the salad and just eat these fabulous croutons. Olive oil and garlic powder are sprinkled on before toasting, but the real secret is the dried basil.

I love this recipe, however I changed the garlic salt to garlic powder :).

apple sauce is a great sub for eggs.
