Good evening to all, especially to Volleyballmom and Nadine who saved my recipe for Broccoli and Burger Casserole. Using my leftover burgers from my dinners is always the best way to soften them up so they are not so dry as they are when I just have them with vegetables and hard to get down. I think the sauce makes them so much tastier than when they are served plain. I went to town today and bought some organic strawberries that were on sale for $4.99 for a 1 lb carton. I think I still prefer the ones that I have in my own garden that might not be as large but the flavour is always there and very enjoyable all the time. Thanks also to the other cook who saved my recipe this afternoon. I enjoy my casseroles.

Hey cheerios, how did your doctors appt.go?
Apr. 2, 2013 7:52 pm
Hi Manella, I had a good doctors appointment today with a practicum student looking on with the doctor who advised me to have pictures taken of my back and front so they could keep track of any changes taking place on my skin. I might have my personal doctor do some photo shots of me when I see her next week. Were you interested in my casserole or turkey loaf that I made the other day Manella ? The casserole could be made with your brand of lactose free cheese I think.

Good morning; was in bed early last night. Thank you for the information about the chicken burger. That is one item which I have not been able to get my crew to enjoy but I think I can sub with a beef burger. Agree with you about the strawberries home grown or in my case from the farmers market are better than those we are getting now. Can not wait for them to come in.

That sounds good Nadine, For me I always seem to prefer chicken over beef in the burger category. I know that beef is very popular with the mainstream crowd.

Do you have a favorite chicken burger recipe that you use? Would like to find one then maybe my crew will enjoy it as much as a beef burger. Thanks

Hi Nadine, I will see what I can come up with for a recipe for chicken burgers. I might have some good ideas for them. While I think of a recipe for chicken burgers I also want to try a cookie recipe that has a Hawaiian taste to it for a change. I thought of putting pineapple and macadamia nuts together. What do you think of that combination.

I always seem to be searching for new ways to do things so I am always trying to change things around when I make something for the second time. As I mentioned before I am now trying to put burgers into my casseroles to help them go down better. Unless I have them with a bun which is not to often now but more likely when it is a hot summer day and I need something like a burger to make something easy for dinner.

Sorry I am in and out today. I have a couple of big apptments today so busy getting ready. Minor health issues. As far as the combination it should work. LOL I remember DS#1 get me ice cream from the local shop and it had macadamia nut ice cream and pineapple topping and it was great.

I am like that as well always trying to change up a meal even if it is the second or third time around for that food item. Do you like curry paste or spices.

Hi Nadine, Thank you for the input on my cookie recipe and my chicken burger recipe. I have used curry powder in some of my cooking and I like using it as well as some other spices or herbs that I think would be good to enhance the flavour. I have to go back to town today and fill in my work day at the West Kootenay Community Eco Society where I do office work for the Director and earn $10.00 every week which I receive at the end of the month amounting to either $40 or $50 depending on how many weeks are in the month. Have a good afternoon and we will chat again.
