Hello Buzzers! Just chiming in to sort of vent to like minded folks. Having one of those days where I just don't want to cook anything at all. So leftovers and sandwiches for dinner tonight. Maybe I'll be more inspired tomorrow.

"Every Party Needs a Pooper That's why you Invited me..." Once every week or two, we scrap the idea of cooking dinner, and grab a meal at the local, or order in, just to give the "cook" a break. About twice every two weeks, when the "dribs and drabs" add up (or you just feel like a "breakfast for dinner" or a bacon and tomato sandwich, we do a "do it yourself" leftover supper or the like, let alone a "double grease" dinner (as is "fish and chips")

Sunday night I felt like that. I cooked all day for easter lunch and we didn't have leftovers so I put a can of black beans, a can of corn, a bag of minute brown rice and a can of rotel together and put it into a tortilla with cheese and baked 15 min covered 15 uncovered. Easy and quick. My husband who thinks he needs meat with every meal loved it. Just an idea for another one of those nights you don't want to cook :)

I believe GDEER's comment is something out of a Canadian Actor, where he was playing a western Canadian Farmer and advised "Strap on the feed bag" for the horses drawing the Milk Wagons of the 1950's...It was funny then, and it is still funny now...I can recall preparing "chop" (a mixture of wheat and oats) for the feed bags, away back when! Thanks for the laugh!

I, too, get into the same ol' rut. That's when I turn to "breakfast for dinner." I do scrambled eggs with cheese, mushrooms, and whatever else I might have (ham lunchmeat, etc). I bake up some biscuits, and some like to make their own egg-wiches with both. Pancakes are fast and easy, too, and if you wrap a pancake around a link sausage (or hot dog), you're a super hero! Hope that helps.

You guys rock! I knew you would understand how I was feeling yesterday. I'm feeling a little different today but will not be making anything extravagant. Just going with chili served over white rice and a side salad tonight.
