does anyone know how to make corn beef hash, without using stuff out of cans??? I have leftover corn beef and would like to make some hash neverhave made before.

when my grandma made hash, she parboiled several potatoes and diced them into quarter inch pieces. Browned ALOT of onions in butter in a large deep skillet, then added potatoes and browned them slightly (as if starting hash browns). We diced the beef into bite size pieces and tossed in then added beef broth - enough to half cover and cooked down til broth was nearly gone and potatoes were tender. One of those recipes that were never written and never measured. Oh, and we like to add a good bit of fresh ground pepper while reducing broth.

I like to buzz the meat in the food processor and add to mashed potatoes and waited onions.
