I was wondering if this glaze would go well with this cake, and if so, do I need to refrigerate the cake after it's glazed? I always store cream cheese frosted cakes in the fridge, but not sure being this is just a glaze if that makes any sense..LOL. Thanks for any input :)

Sorry, not sure what happened with the links in the above paragraph!

It sounds good to me! The glaze would allow the banana nut flavor to come through. If the cake isn't going to be eaten immediately, you could refrigerate it, but if it's going to be eaten within a day or two, I think it'd be fine left out.

Thanks Elle! I already made the cake, (which smells delicious)and I plan to glaze it right before I take it to a party this afternoon. Any leftovers I will store in the fridge then for sure.

Your recipe makes me wish I had a few bananas in the freezer! Enjoy your party, Cyndi!

Thanks Elle, it's my Mom's birthday party. She's a tough one when it comes to cakes, and this is right up her alley. She's not a fan of the standard birthday cakes with buttercream :)

Cream cheese should not be out of refrigeration more than 2 hours. It does not matter that it is only 4 oz. I would refrigerate the leftovers.
