I am a beginner cook (widower) . I love macaroni and cheese and your recipe for " Four cheese macaroni " sounds good. What is "Processed Cheese Food " Do you mean " Kraft Cheese Whiz " ? I live in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Canada .

It took a bit but I think I found the recipe. Where it says Processed Cheese Food it has in brackets velvetta. The only package I saw looked liked Kraft singles. It will be found in the dairy isle along with the kraft singles if your store has them. Metro or Sobeys might.

when i hear processed cheese i think velveeta cheese. it has more consistency than cheez whiz, so if using cheez whiz, i would suggest less liquid. sorry for the loss of your spouse, i remember when my mom died, my dad had no clue how to cook, and was always calling me for recipes and tips! this was 1991 so pre internet days. you will find a wealth of info on this site, and very friendly "peeps". welcome

When you said cheez whiz I was thinking the stuff in the can LOL! I use Cheez Whiz in mixed vegetables, with a butter cracker/butter crumble on top, then baked. Good stuff!
