This may be a stupid question but I have to ask. We are having a South American themed dinner tonight and I want to make the recipe inside. Now being from Texas the only way I do ribs is BBQ but this recipe says to boil them until the water evaporates. Now if the ratings weren't so amazing I wouldn't even try this but there was only a few bad ratings out of 350 or something. So my question is do I need to cut up each rib and put it in the pot as a single rib or do I quarter them? I can't imagine trying to put the whole thing in there. Also on the menu is baked empanadas and baked plantains. I have found a few recipies for them but if you have a good one please post it! I am trying to not fry as much as I normally do.

This is how my Brazilian mom prepares pork ribs. Boiling the ribs with the seasonings ensures that the meat will remain moist and juicy, and that the flavors will fully penetrate the meat. I hope you like these as much as I always have! Serve with lime wedges, rice and a fresh green salad.

I would quarter them so they fit in the pot. My dad boils his before grilling them and that is how he does it.
