It's A New Day is looking for: (6 recommendations)
I have two "naked" lemons that I need to do something with (the zest has all been removed for another recipe). I'd love to make a dessert for DH to take to work and a lemon pound cake sounds good but all the recipes seem to either use a cake mix or lemon extract. Help?

If your lemons are juicy enough you can sub for lemon extract but you will need more juice than extract

A light and fluffy golden-yellow cake gets a delightfully bright zing from fresh lemon juice.

I own many pieces of pine furniture and use a lemon juice mixture with olive oil (about half/half ratio) to polish and clean the wood. You kind of have to get the ratio right though - too much oil leaves furniture oily - too much lemon may lighten the furniture - investigage on the web for more info

This loaf cake is known in Germany as 'Zitronenkuchen', a dense pound cake with a lemon glaze all over the top and soaked into the cake itself.

This one calls for juice only and looks good. Might need to read the reviews. I have not made this.

This recipe makes a delicious lemon-flavored pound cake with chopped pecans and a simple lemon glaze.

This sounds good! (P.S. When looking for "scratch" cake recipes, I do a recipe search for recipes that include flour and eggs and *don't* include cake mix)
