Why not to send bf to the store unchaperone! I wrote onions on the shopping list and now am the owner of TEN huge sweet onions (I wanted boring yellow onions). Any recipe ideas to use these onions? Thanks!

You could use them in any onion dish it only be a little sweeter. These onions are also great in a grilled cheese sandwich.

A traditional side dish from the Alsace region of France, in the country's northeast corner near the German border, this rich onion tart pairs bacon and caramelized onions in a creamy sauce baked in a pie shell.

Also, your onions should keep for future recipes (do not have to be used all at once)

About as good as it gets! This is the version of French Onion Soup that people seek when they go to restaurants. I have been making it for 30 years and it never fails to please. It makes an exquisite presentation, too!

Wow! What's a good beef broth brand? I learned that I need to be specific or else I will end up with coconut milk instead of broth.

Onion Pasta

A generous mound of thinly sliced onions, cooked in butter and olive oil, becomes a fragrant, caramelized sauce with the addition of bouillon, water and a pinch of basil. Toss with cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan before serving.

If you can't get to the fairgrounds or your favorite Italian eatery, make these Italian sausage and pepper sandwiches at home. This recipe makes enough for a crowd.

Whole onions are stuffed with a chicken bouillon cube and a bit of butter, wrapped in foil and grilled to perfection. A sprinkle of cumin or garlic would add a nice touch.

slice 3 or 4, throw in crockpot with a tick or stick and a half of real butter. Turn on low. Cook for 24 hours, yes that is right 24 hours......carmelized onions that can be eaten now and frozen for another day.
