I've heard lots of people like to 'hide' things in their smoothies....like spinach! What are your favourite things to cover up in the beverage/snack?

Of course wheat germ or bran is good to throw in there but I've been told blueberries mask the task of spinach so toss some of the green stuff in too. Wondering what other combos can be created in the smoothie???

Strawberries, bananas, and soy milk combine with flaxseed to create this tasty, dairy-free smoothie.

Flax seed is a great source of Omega 3...

Is it gritty....I suppose no more than the seeds from fruit?

Hi RedApple, i buy ground flax seeds so there is no grit or seeds to poop out! I made a pretty good blueberry cheesecake smoothie a couple of years ago!

I have used whole toasted flax seeds on salads before. It gives it a nice nutty crunch to the salad! I never thought of buying it ground.

The body is not able to process whole flax seeds. You need to use ground to get the nutritional value rather than the fiber benifits.

This was quite good and no you can't taste the salmon. Just make sure that the salmon was frozen then thawed.

This seriously sounds weird. But I also think the other flavours would hide the fish. I will give it a try this weekend. Thanks.

Do you cook the salmon or just toss in raw thawed fish? (Forgive my ignore but I've never made beverages with fish before!)

It's a good protein blast. Just make sure that the salmon was frozen then thawed. Before I made it I read that fresh raw salmon was not good to eat.
