Fasting for my rescheduled liver ultrasound so trying to keep my mind off food for about 3 more hours :( I'm making this for a cheerleading banquet tonight. I have leftover mashed potatoes I'd like to use(I already have some in the freezer), so I'll probably plan dinner around those. Have a great day!!

I hope it's not rescheduled again so you don't have to redo the fasting. DH is skiing and won't be home until late so I won't be cooking any good food to torment you. :)

I used to love this in the summer! I don't make things like that any more, as there is no one but DH & me to eat it. I hope they appreciate your effort. I hope they're able to resolve whatever difficulties you're having.

Sweet and tart dried cranberries add a zing to creamy, crowd-pleasing broccoli salad.

Good morning! Leftovers tonight. This is pretty good; I found the dressing to be very sweet, but the cranberry/broccoli combo is a great taste. I used packaged broccoli (it was on sale) so strictly speaking I didn't follow the recipe.

Good to know Elle. I'll cut back on the sugar. Thanks!

You may have a good suggestion for the dressing-I didn't want to play with it too much, as it's definitely edible. Maybe a little dry mustard added? The packaged broccoli had a little shredded carrot in it, which was an attractive contrast to the dark red and the green.

Elle, I do think a little mustard would make a nice tang to the dressing. I have made this dressing, reducing the sugar or using honey, I like poppy seed dressings with cranberry and green salads...http://allrecipes.com/recipe/winter-fruit-salad-with-lemon-poppyseed-dressing-2/detail.aspx

Of course, all I can think about is food....& water. I'm dying of thirst & I'm not allowed sips, even. Ugh. I'm leaning toward something like this tonight but without the dumplings....or maybe I'll make them. My boys love them. IDK. Kiddos have a 2 hr delay this morning, which makes everything crazy hectic for my schedule today. I suppose I'd better go make a pie now, while I have time! Have a great day everyone!!
