I need to prepare lamb for 250 people for a church dinner. Any suggestions as the best way to do this? Starting to panic a little. Thanks, Tim

Where are you getting lamb for that many people? What cuts are you getting? Since such a large number of people don't care for lamb, I would think about a marinated dish like shish ke bab, or maybe even stew. Me, I'll eat it anyway I can get it!

I agree with petey! EVERYONE I know LOVES shish ke bobs, and stews always good. But yes, it also depends on the cuts you get. There's small cuts, tall cuts, wide cuts, etc. So really, it's not that hard.

Are you cooking the lamb only with others doing the remainder of the meal? Check out the article here on cooking for a Crowd. It may help. Timing is going to be crucial. It will take time ad oven space to cook that much lamb.
