How about sandwiches? Add a packet of onion soup mix, a packet of Italian dressing mix, and a packet of brown gravy mix then water to just cover. We serve with toasted buns, cheese, and caramelized onions.

A little late to this party but, in my recipe box, there is a recipe for Cuban pot roast, my family loves it, sorry I can't copy and paste ,using the iPad,

Ground turkey is simmered in a hearty combination of black, kidney, and refried beans.

Very good. Only used pork and beans instead of kidney and the others. Added 1/4cup red wine. Extra cup of chicken broth as to not waste. And 2 cans tomato paste.

A Mexican beef stew smothered in a semi-spicy gravy. Simple to make, but tastes wonderful. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, and/or homemade tortillas. Cooking time may be cut, but the meat will be less tender.
