Has anyone ever frozen whole strawberries? should I chop them up first? I had a massive craving for them the other day & my Sis in law brought me 3 cartons of them & I've only made it through half of them :-) thoughts?

This quick and easy sauce made with fresh strawberries is wonderful on ice cream or pancakes.

You can freeze them whole, chopped, or in a syrup . . . think how you see then in the freezer section of store.

This salad is beautiful, healthy, and delicious! The fruits can be chopped to use as a salad or sliced thinly and layered in a trifle bowl for a truly stunning presentation.

I do the same as Patty Cakes and I also freeze sliced oranges, whole blueberries, whole blackberries and lemon/lime slices. I add them to every glass of water that I drink. Frozen fruit works well in many applications. :o)

I wash them, lay them out to dry and then freeze them whole in a single layer on wax paper on a cookie sheet. Then I put them in a vacuum sealed bag or good freezer bag. This way they don't get mushy and mesh all together when thawing.
