Today's AR homepage recipe "Tacos in a Bag" brought back memories. We made these a lot around here when the kids were young. It was a popular treat for the PTA, scouts and picnics and fundraisers. We called them "Walking Tacos". Anyone else have any interesting and different fun foods?

Never even heard of a lemon fritter but my Grandma often made banana fritters and zuchini fritters. Just thinking about them makes me miss them (and her).

Just thought of another weird thing we used to make at Girl Scout camp. Ice cream in a can and we would toss it around and then the leader would bury it. I can't remember how that really worked.

The ice cream made me think of Pie irons. When camping, put bread then pie filling in there and hold it in the fire till done. I still have a couple of pie irons here, one old, one new.

This homemade ice cream is great to make with kids. Using a small and a large coffee can you can recreate an ice cream maker in your own home! Not to mention this is one of the best homemade ice creams I have ever had!

This recipe makes for a simple, tidy and delicious barbecue venture. Chicken breasts, veggies and barbecue sauce are tucked into foil packets and cooked on the grill for thirty minutes, with moist and flavorful results.
