and I made these cookies again, they were a huge hit for Valentine's Day, this time I just made them in a 9x9 pan as I was pressed for time last night as we had hockey :D

Ok, WHERE did you find redhots?! I've been looking since Halloween & cannot find them, ANYWHERE...at least, not the small ones. I found bigger ones, about the size of a navy bean, but I need the small ones. They used to sell them w/the bagged candies(like circus peanuts, butterscotch & other hard candies, etc).

Ok, thank you! Are they still in the bags w/the rest of the bagged candy or am I looking for a different packaging/section?

Walgreens carries them in a box, like the boxes of movie theatre candy.

Lisa, I can't find them anywhere, either. There's a good popcorn recipe that calls for them, and I've looked for them for a long time!

We are painting today, so, something easy. Yesterday we went to Kansas City to watch 'JamFest', a cheerleading/tumbling competition and ate at a new (to us) Mexican restaurant. So we are either having leftover fajita fixins, or this stew from the freezer.

Oh, my, if you could see my kitchen. I have a new floor, and the walls are 90% painted. I wasn't going to paint the ceiling and then decided kind of at the last minute to paint it, so I just painted the walls up to about 3" from the ceiling. That was before Christmas. So now I have to finish what I started.

Irish Tacos

Ireland meets Mexico in a fun, easy alternative to a sandwich -- a corned beef and coleslaw taco, served with a gently spicy yogurt-cilantro sauce. It's a good way to use up any corned beef leftovers after the big day.

Two Italian favorites, lasagna and Italian wedding soup, combine forces in one great dish for a special occasion. Many of the ingredients are cooked in chicken broth, which is reserved and used to make a gravy for the top of the lasagna.
