It's 23 degrees here..brrr. Reheating chicken noodle soup..warms the body and soul. Want to make sausage, pepper & onion sandwiches to go with. What's you fav recipe for these? Thanks.

HI,i would just fry them,lots of onions,little garlic,stick them in a bun and enjoy.UMM might have that myself:)

Good as is but... Years ago the TX Rangers ball park used to offer little pkts of KC Masterpiece bbq sauce with the condiments and we always put it on our sausage, onions and peppers.

Thanks Pamela. Never would have thought of adding bbq sauce, but that does sound yummy. Sounds like a winner to me!

nanny...yummm. ok..so I may have to eat 2, one with bbq sauce and 1 with tart & grainy mustard. ;-)

I do the same as Manella, but only I do mine in the oven at 350°.....sausage with just a little olive oil to prevent sticking and let that cook for a bit, turning over as it gets brown on the bottom and then I just dump my peppers & onions over at the end. It seems to keep the sausage more plump than frying and the heat from the oven will warm the house a little too!

We just had this the other night..I always make a little extra peppers and onions and use them in omelets the next day and also on pizza....did that this weekend too :-)
