Is there any way to make a gravy for biscuits without meat? I have milk, half and half, heavy cream, cream cheese, and cream of chicken. Any ideas?

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy

A quick and easy gravy made with beef bouillon, flour, onion and butter. Serve over mashed potatoes, if desired.

I don't have mushrooms or beef bouillon. Can I use chicken bouillon or the seasoning packet from beef ramen noodles? Lol.

Do you have any bacon grease? Use that to make a roux with your flour and then start adding your milk or cream.

You need something greasy to start off that gravy. I always keep a mason jar of bacon grease in my fridge! Instead of gravy, how about a cheese sauce? Use the ingredients you have (flour, milk)and then add whatever cheeses you have on hand.

Made this couple weerks ago; turned out wonderful. I used 14 ounce can broth instead of bouillion, alot less salty. Added my own spices: basil, parsley, thyme.

I saved this in my recipe box, so that means I must have liked it. I see I noted that it took 4 minutes to being done cooking whisking the entire time.

I was going to suggest this one too, this is what we called milk gravy. however i use butter instead of oil, it gives it more flavor. great with browned and crumbled sausage in it or chipped beef over toast or hot biscuits.
