These crispy eggs rolls are packed with tasty ingredients like water chestnuts, peppers, and chicken. They make a great appetizer, snack, or side dish.

What makes you a cook? Are you obsessed with cooking or is it just for everyday, necessary living?

You know you love to cook when... The sounds of your family saying/having seconds makes your day. The first thing you think of upon waking is the last recipe you looked at the night before. You're yearlong meals are just preludes to the holiday season. All you need is a protein, a starch and a veg to make a meal work. Your favorite Christmas gift is a new cooking gadget. ...what else makes you love to cook?

I love new ways of preparing food. My tastes are changing, so when I look at recipes, I think, "Now what can I eliminate or add to please my family?" Then, I come across recipes in my box, and can't imagine why I saved them! I'm forever switching ingredients in recipes for my changing tastes!

I love to cook cause we like to eat:)(joke)That's so true, when i wake up,i think what do i make for supper.I enjoy cooking, trying new things.I'm lactose intolerant,so i can't use alot of the recipes i see,but if a recipe i want to try calls for milk,i can replace it with lactose free milk.Cheese is a little harder.Goat cheese does not go with everything.Very simlpe for me i love to cook.

when I wake of the morn'gs I'm in the bathroom washing my face and thinking of all that's on the agenda for the day. I'm thinking what's in the fridge and saying to myself "What does the family want for dinner". All I get in response is "I don't know" and "I don't care". Since I've been on AR for the past 2 years it has inspired me to try new dishes! I love to try new recipes and "doctor up" dishes that are plain and boring. After viewing recipes on AR and personal ones I thinking "Wow! I've gotta try that!" Since Lisa's post "What's for dinner" has inspired me to make weekly menus. Some folks have theme nights and I now have theme nights; Fridays our children plan dinner which consists of pasta or pizza, Saturday consists of pancakes/breakfast, Sundays is appetizers. Mon-Wed I plan full course meal and Thurs is leftovers. My family has gotten use to this and really enjoy looking forward to theme nights!

Hiya Manella! Was thinking, can you sub silk milk? My oldest wont drink reg milk but can tolerate Silk. If not Silk, what about Lactaid? I feel for you dear, I have a couple of special eaters. Told you about my oldest and my hubby can't eat eggs. The thing is, they both can eat foods that have eggs in the ingredients but if it is the main ingredient, that's when things go wrong for them.

Okay Luv2. I'm with you on all counts. My fam can't understand what they call my obsession, but love to eat my food. Really!?! I even tried the whole theme night thing and got pooh poohed. I think from here on out, been saying this for a bit now, I'm gonna stop giving them a say in what's for dinner. I want them to be involved , but I think my fam is holding me back as far as my cooking skills are concerned....lol.

Yep Manella. It can get, I guess the word is stifling, but I make it work. Truth is, I never knew people could be allergic to dairy til I joined the service. But I guess that was a good thing cause because of that, I recognized what it was in my oldest before the doctor did. Go figure.
