Hello, Sue ~ I typed up the recipe so you can use it. Hope you like it. I did use it in the pastries and it worked very well!

Thanks so much. Sorry to put you through all that work! But I do appreciate it! Now I will show my ignorance... I am not familiar with almond butter. Where can I purchase it and what part of the store is it usually found? TIA!

Found w/ peanut butter/jellies; available at Costco and many health food stores; make your own at Whole Foods.

Thanks, ConkyJoe, I thought maybe it was in the dairy with the other butter/margarine products. So it is in a jar?

Yes, in a jar. It's considerably more expensive than peanut butter. At Costco today, I saw a good size jar for $6.99 which is a very good price.

Its like peanut butter but made with almonds. I have tried to make my own and can't quite get it as smooth as the stuff in a jar. Trader Joes sells it. I think Wal-Mart also does now near the peanut butter.

Btw ~ Hello ConkyJoe too! It was no problem, I had to leave the house or I would have done it even sooner.

Hi Sarah . . . I'm still smarting from that wonderful review you gave my limeaid drink :) One for you . . . I had to do a double take of your nut spread photo as I thought it was food porn . . . specifically, dog poop in a bowl!! Good night, ladies.

Thanks for the suggestion Sue, I just added in the comments where to find it! Someone else might be looking for a quick sub for nutella also. The texture of this homemade is nicer too.

Elvis would love this banana smoothie made with almond butter, skim milk, vanilla extract, and just a pinch of cinnamon.

Sue, I bought it for the first time to make this recipe I believe. It can sit in the cupbard just like peanut butter.

Thanks, sueb ~ I believe it was you not sure but someone said to send them an email. I think it was for recipes? I did but didn't hear back. Just wanted to let you know I did send it. Hope I typed it correctly anyway.

I would definitely use "frozen" sliced bananas in it though. I can't remember what the directions say, but that's what I did. It will be thicker and creamier.
