I'm thinking this Apple Crisp: http://tinyurl.com/acyc3lx With these gingersnaps (crumbleed) to substitute the oats mixture: http://tinyurl.com/axsz5eg Sound good?

You know, if you do this as 'request a recipe' instead of 'ask a question' you could show the recipes on your post. Or c&p instead of the tinyurl. As to the question, I love the crisp II recipe, it's a fav. Not sure how the gingersnaps would be on top insead. Might make it too sweet?

Are you trying to get rid of the gingersnaps?

Ooops, sorry, still a rookie here. Sure don't mean to offend. Gingersnaps aren't made yet, but I just thought fresh gingersnaps would be a nice switch.

No biggie, just easier to look at. In order to add the recipes, you have to request a recipe, then recommend them to yourself to get them on the post. You will need to have pulled the recipes up first before you even start(so they show on your 'reviewed recipes' list over there >> on the right). As for the recipes, you are wanting to go to way more baking than what I would do, but give it a try, might me good. And you would have cookies and apple crisp when done! Maybe put them on just part in case you don't like them.

I've reached the peak of my non-productivity for the day and usually a diversion to cooking for a little while can get me back on track, and as a bonus, I have apples to use up. My kids are coming home from college today but I don't believe they will be here for supper, so this they could have for whenever they make it here. I'm going to give it a shot.

Let us know how it works out! I could always 'buy' some gingersnaps :)

I'm off to make some oatmeal cookies to take to my #2 son this weekend.

I tried it once with my own. They were a bit soft and didn't work, but I tried it again with store bought and everyone loved it.

Ok, it's in the oven. The store is 10 miles away, so homemade gingersnaps it was. I purposely over-baked them just a little and then put them in the food processor with a little brown sugar. I'm expecting good things.
